Coastguard rescue man off Cork coast

A man has been rescued from waters off the coast of Co. Cork after he got into difficulty at Castlepark, near to Kinsale, at around 4.30pm this afternoon.

Kinsale RNLI went to his aid and brought him ashore.

The man was then transferred to Cork University Hospital by ambulance.

It is understood he was cold and badly shaken, but not seriously injured.
