Man killed in Kerry hit and run

Gardaí in Kerry are investigating a hit and run which claimed the life of a man.

The 40 year-old man had been out for a cycle in Gneeveguilla when he was hit by a vehicle between the hours of 8am and 10am this morning.

The road is closed while Gardaí carry out a technical examination of the scene and diversions are in place.

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses who may have travelled the Killarney Road via Gneeveguilla this morning, to come forward.
