Gunman sought following armed bank raid in Clare

Gardaí are hunting a lone gunman after a robbery at an AIB branch in west Co Clare this morning.

The armed raider entered the bank on O'Curry Street in Kilkee shortly before 11am demanding cash, Clare FM reports.

He then fled the scene on foot with an undisclosed sum of money.

An incident room has been set up at Kilrush Garda Station.
