Cabinet approves law to cut bankruptcy by nine years

The Cabinet has approved new personal insolvency laws that will cut bankruptcy from 12 to three years.

The Taoiseach Enda Kenny and Tánaiste Eamon Gilmore said it is "progress in dealing with mortgage debt, although it is not a magic wand".
