'No customers will lose out' as result of bank payments chaos
Ulster Bank have said that no customers will be out of pocket as a result of the technical fault at the bank.
Earlier, the Transport Minister Leo Varadkar said the bank should make funding available at no interest for customers put out by the issue.
The bank said the problem has been fixed and they will continue to deal with the backlog of payments for as long as it takes.
The fault has caused disruption to payment services for more than 100,000 customers.
Ulster Bank are extending opening hours to 6pm tomorrow for 80 of its branches to deal with customer queries and transactions.
The CEO of RBS Corporate Banking including Ulster Bank Chris Sullivan has said "no customers will be lose out financially as a result".
