Thousands still affected by Ulster Bank technical fault
Up to 100,000 people are still affected by a technical glitch at Ulster Bank that has been going on since Wednesday.
Thousands are without their salary checks and social welfare payments but the bank says mortgage payments will have been debited, even if customers' account histories indicate otherwise.
Eighty branches of the bank will stay open until 7pm tonight to deal with customers.
Ulster Bank are part of the UK's Royal Bank of Scotland group, which also includes Natwest - millions of customers in Britain are also dealing with the fallout of the systems error.
RBS Group has said they will compensate anyone who loses out as a result of the problem.
