Ruling expected next week on Doherty case
The High Court will rule next week on Sinn Féin TD Pearse Doherty's application for his legal costs in his unsuccessful High Court challenge to comments made by the Commission before the Fiscal treaty referendum.
Today at the High Court Richard Humphreys SC for Deputy Doherty said that his client was seeking his costs on grounds including that the action had raised a point of exceptional public importance that have not been previously argued before the courts.
