Dáil commmittee discusses Wallace tax affairs

The Dáil's Select Committee on Members Interests again met this morning to discuss the tax affairs of Independent TD Mick Wallace.

The Dáil's Select Committee on Members Interests again met this morning to discuss the tax affairs of Independent TD Mick Wallace.

It comes after the Wexford deputy admitted making a false VAT declaration to the Revenue Commissioners in respect of his company M&J Wallace Ltd earlier this month.

After receiving information from Deputy Wallace, the Committee said it will write to him again seeking answers to all the questions it asked last week.

It wants to establish facts concerning the dates of various actions and is asking Deputy Wallace to authorise the Revenue Commissioners to correspond with the Committee on the same matters.

The Committee intends to meet again next week.
