Patients and families attend Parkinson's Disease conference
Around 700 patients with Parkinson's Disease and their families are expected to attend a conference in Dublin today.
Organised by the Parkinson's Association of Ireland, today's event marks the start of a week-long Movement Disorder Society Congress.
Up to 5,000 neurologists from around the world are due to attend the congress this week.
Today's Parkinson's Conference gives patients the opportunity to hear from experts of the condition - who will be presenting research showing positive effects in tackle the disease.
It will also include the launch of research by an Italian Neurologist into Irish set dancing and how it improves mobility in Parkinson's patients.
