A 28-year-old man is to be charged later this morning in connection with an aggravated burglary at the home of three elderly siblings in Co Limerick.

The suspect is due to appear before Limerick District Court at 10.30am.

Willie Creed, 74, and his sisters Nora, aged 72, and Chrissie, aged 66, were left severely traumatised after the violent robbery on their home at Ballyluddy, Pallasgreen, on May 31c.

All three were tied up, beaten, and robbed by a two-man gang armed with knives.

A 27-year-old man, arrested last week, is still being questioned about the robbery.
