European Bridge Championships begin in Dublin

Europe's bridge-playing champions are gathering in Dublin's Citywest today for the European Bridge Championships.

There will be plenty of action all the same as more than a thousand players from up to 40 countries take to the tables for the event, which runs until June 22.

Ireland is in with a good chance of taking some silverware, bosting world champion Pat McDevitt from Donegal in the over 60s event.
