Man held following serious assault in Dublin

A man in his 30s has been arrested following a serious assault in Ronanstown in Dublin overnight.

A 25-year-old man received serious head injuries in the incident which happened on Wheatfield Avenue at around 1am this morning.

He is being treated at Beaumont Hospital.

Gardaí are appealing for information and in particular would like anyone in the vicinity of Wheatfield Avenue between 12:45am and 1:15am this morning to contact them at Ronanstown Garda Station 01-6667700 or the Garda Confidential Line 1800 666 111.
