Wallace seeks to offer 'personal explanation' in Dáil

Independent TD Mick Wallace is to make a personal explanation in the Dáil on Tuesday following his admission that he knowingly underpaid VAT and owes Revenue €2.1m.

In a statement issued this afternoon, the Wexford deputy said he has written to the Ceann Comhairle asking permission to "clarify his position for the sake of his constituents and citizens generally".
