Woman dies after being knocked off bike

A 46 year old woman has died after she was knocked from her bicycle in a road accident in Wexford last night.

The woman was cycling along with a teenage girl when they were hit by a 4x4 at New Line Road in Wexford shortly after 7.30pm yesterday evening.

The woman died her from injuries in hospital this evening.

The 16 year old girl, who was injured in the crash, has been discharged from hospital.

Garda are appealing for anyone who witnessed the accident to contact them at Wexford Garda Station
