Kenny slams SF High Court challenge 'sideshow'
The Taoiseach has described as a "sideshow" a court challenge by Sinn Féin to comments by the referendum commission.
The High Court is to deliver its ruling shortly.
Lawyers for deputy Pearse Doherty claim clarity is needed on whether the Government can veto the European Stability Mechanism (ESM) fund.
It follows statements from the commission on the matter twice this month.
Enda Kenny has been making his final pitch for a yes vote to voters by canvassing at a Dublin train station before a broadcast media blackout from 2pm this afternoon.
The Taoiseach said the move by Sinn Féin was effectively a stunt.
"This is a deliberate sideshow by the Sinn Féin party," he said. "They have perpetrated untruths, allegations and downright lies about things that are not in this Treaty.
"The main issue is whether we in this country want to send out a strong signal of clear confidence about ourselves as a people and about our country being open for business."
