Two held in connection with death of Waterford man

Gardaí have arrested two men as part of their investigation into the death of a man in Waterford.

The body of 22-year-old Martin Brophy was found in a vacant building in the city on Monday evening.

A post mortem revealed he died following a serious assault.

He was last seen on Saturday afternoon in the Poleberry area of the city.

The two men were arrested at around 10 am this morning and are being held under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act.
