Woman who went missing from hospital found

A 78-year-old woman who went missing from a secure unit at St James Hospital in Dublin has been located safe and well this afternoon.

Joan Campbell had been missing since yesterday afternoon.

She had been described as vulnerable and confused.

Hospital staff had undertaken a number of searches of the grounds of the campus and a review of CCTV footage was undertaken.

An internal inquiry into how she went missing is now underway.
