Elderly woman missing from Dublin hospital

Gardaí are seeking the public's assistance in tracing the whereabouts of a 78-year-old woman missing from St James's Hospital in Dublin.

Gardaí in Kilmainham, Dublin are today appealing for information after a 78-year-old woman went missing from St James' Hospital.

Joan Campbell was last seen at about 4.30pm yesterday afternoon.

Hospital authorities say security and the gardaí searched the campus immediately but she was found to be missing.

An internal enquiry has already been initiated by the hospital and the HSE has been notified.

Joan is described as being 5 feet 5 inches tall, of medium build, with black, shoulder-length hair and blue eyes.

She was last seen wearing a black fleece jumper, jeans and white shoes.

Gardaí say she may appear somewhat confused.
