African royal couple visit Ireland
The King and Queen of Lesotho are in Ireland today, at the start of a three-day visit.
Lesotho, with a population of around two million people, is a landlocked country, surrounded by its only neighbouring country, South Africa.
King Letsie the third and his wife will fly into Cork airport later this morning, before embarking on a visit to Newbridge Silverware in Kildare this afternoon.
Tomorrow, the couple will visit Portmarnock Community School in Dublin before a reception at Áras an Uachtaráin with President Higgins at midday.
This is the King's first official visit to Ireland as Head of State.
