Closure on Dublin to Cork road reduced

A closure in the southbound lane on the M8 Dublin to Cork Road because of an oil spillage has been reduced to between Junction 4 Urlingford and Junction 6 Horse and Jockey.

Emergency services are also dealing with a collision on the same stretch.

Motorists are advised to divert off the motorway onto the old road through Abbeyleix in Durrow.

They can rejoin the motorway on the M8 at Junction 9 Cashel South.
