Stabilising rental market 'good for the economy'
There are signs that the housing rental market is stabilising, according to the latest survey by property website Daft.ie.
The survey shows that rents nationwide remained relatively unchanged in the first quarter.
Slight increases were recorded in Dublin and Cork, reflecting greater demands for living in and around cities which are home to most new jobs.
Economist with Daft, Ronan Lyons, has said the stabilising of the rental market is "good news for the whole economy".
Commenting on this latest report, head of the IDA, Barry O'Leary, said competitive rental costs are important for attracting foreign companies to invest here.
