Fourth teen charged in connection with robbery of Brazilian man
A fourth youth has been charged over a gang robbery of a Brazilian national who was attacked in Dublin last year.
Three teens are currently awaiting trial for robbing €600 from the man at Herberton Walk, in south Dublin, on October 31 last. The man was dragged to the ground and beaten during the alleged incident.
Today a fourth boy, aged 17, was also charged at the Dublin Children's Court with robbing the man.
The court heard that he made no reply when charged.
Judge Ann Ryan remanded the boy was accompanied to his case by his father on bail to appear again next week for directions from the DPP to be obtained. Legal aid was granted to the boy and the judge ordered gardai to provide disclosure of evidence including CCTV footage to the defence lawyer.
