PSNI arrest woman after 'false' missing baby reports

Police in the North have arrested a woman on suspiscion of wasting police time, after reports of a baby missing in Belfast Lough were declared a false alarm.

A search operation was launched last night, when a woman fell overboard a Stena Line Ferry, as the vessel made its way into Belfast Port.

She was rescued, but police no longer believe she had a child in her care.

The 37-year-old woman is being held at a PSNI Station in Belfast this evening.
