Browne offers to step aside to facilitate TV debate
TV3 presenter Vincent Browne has offered to step aside from his duties to allow a TV debate on the upcoming referendum between the Taoiseach Enda Kenny and Gerry Adams to go ahead.
The Sinn Féin leader challenged the Taoiseach to a live debate on the EU Fiscal Treaty earlier this week.
Today, Enda Kenny said he would take part in a debate with Deputy Adams, but not one moderated by Vincent Browne.
This evening, TV3 has announced that Mr Browne has offered to step aside to facilitate a debate, which would be hosted by the station's political editor Ursula Hannigan instead.
