Trial of Adam's Clayton former PA is adjourned

U2 bass player Adam Clayton’s former PA and housekeeper appeared before Dublin Circuit Criminal Court today.

Carol Hawkins (aged 47) of Crannagh Road, Rathfarnham was to go on trial for 184 counts under the Criminal Justice (Theft and Fraud Offences) Act 2001.

The charges relate to theft of various sums of money from bank accounts in the name of Mr Clayton on dates from 2005 until 2008.

An application was made by prosecuting counsel, Colm O Briain BL, for a further date for mention to fix a trial date which is expected to be set for June 6 next.
