Nine E-coli infections last year

The Food Safety Authority has urged childcare workers to put steps in place to prevent the spread of infection in childcare settings.

The FSA said there were nine outbreaks of E-coli infection in the past year in children attending creches, or who were cared for in the home by childminders.
