Unite union urges 'no' vote in Fiscal Compact referendum
The trade union Unite is urging a 'no' vote in the referendum on the EU Fiscal Treaty.
The country's second largest trade union, which has 50,000 members - has officially joined the campaign for a 'no' vote.
The union said it believes the treaty will weaken Europe, stifle growth and increase unemployment.
The referendum is being held on May 31, and the cut-off for being included on the electoral register is May 14.
