Dublin pensioner to abseil from stadium gantry

Dublin pensioner Helen Duffy, who turns 75 today, is one of 350 people abseiling from the 70-metre gantry of the Aviva Stadium this morning.

The event is aid of Concern, and runs throughout the day.

Concern's community fundraising manger Jonathan Power said that it is not the first time Helen has marked a birthday milestone with a taste of adventure.

"She did a skydive on her 70th birthday, and so this is what she wanted to do to treat herself on her 75th birthday," he said.
