Marioara murder suspect further remanded in custody

A 33-year-old man charged with the murder of Romanian teenager Marioara Rostas has been further remanded in custody at his second court appearance.

Alan Wilson, of New Street Gardens, Dublin 8 is accused of killing the 18-year-old at a house on Brabazon Street in Dublin on January 8, 2008.

Her body of Marioara Rostas was found in a shallow grave in Co Wicklow in January following a 13-day search operation by gardaí.

She disappeared four years earlier on January 6, 2008.

She was begging with her brother at Lombard Street East in Dublin when she got into a car and was never seen again.

A post mortem revealed she had been shot.

Today Alan Wilson made his second court appearance at Cloverhill District Court after being charged with her murder last week, to which he had replied "I didn't do this".

Dressed in navy he spoke to his solicitor when his case was called.

Judge John Lindsay agreed to further remand him in custody for two weeks on consent from both sides.
