Fatal stabbing in Tullamore

A 30-year-old man has died today after being stabbed in Tullamore, Co Offaly.

The incident happened at an address on Kilbride Street shortly after 7am this morning.

It is understood the dead man was a Polish national.

A second Polish man was also hurt. He is being treated at the Midlands Regional Hospital.

The office of the State Pathologist has been contacted, and the area has been sealed off for technical examination.
