Peats 'World of Electronics' to close

Well-known Dublin electronics retail company Peats 'World of Electronics' is to close with the loss of 75 jobs.

In a statement this evening, the company says it is seeking a liquidator and that its eleven shops around the city have closed with immediate effect.

Chairman Ben Peat told workers that they could not continue to trade in light of its current difficulties but said all staff would be paid their entitlements and redundancy due in full.
