Autism society accuses Govt of lagging behind in autism services

The Government is being accused of lagging behind other EU countries when it comes to basic services for autism.

The North already has autism-specific legislation, but the Republic has still not introduced a national strategy on the area.

The Irish Society for Autism has said the State would save money by investing in early intervention and diagnosis of autism.
