Man due in court in connection with Tipperary assault

A man is due in court in Tipperary this evening charged in relation to a serious assault earlier this week.

A man in his 50s was seriously injured during the incident, which happened in Cappawhite in the early hours of Friday morning.

Gardaí arrested a man in his late 20s in relation to the assault.

He is to appear before a special sitting of Nenagh District Court this evening.
