Gorse fire on Little Sugar Loaf Mountain

A gorse fire has broken out tonight on the Little Sugar Loaf Mountain near Kilmacanogue in Co Wicklow.

The alarm was raised shortly after 9 o'clock.

Two units of the fire brigade are currently at the scene assessing the situation.

It is believed the fire may be threatening a number of homes located in the area.
