Doctor accused of sex offences appears in court

A doctor has appeared in court in Cork accused of four sex offences involving three women.

54 year old Kevin Mulcahy, with an address at Lombardstown near Mallow, is charged with two counts of sexual assault and two of indecent assault.

The offences are alleged to have occured at three different locations between September of 1989 and December 1996.

Mallow District Court heard the accused had nothing to say when charged.

Doctor Mulcahy, a GP based in north Cork, has been remanded on bail to appear before Cork Circuit Criminal Court next month.
