Pair charged with assault after death in Cavan

Two men have appeared before Cavan District Court this evening charged in connection with the death of Ciaran O'Connell.

Gary Wright of Headfort Road in Kells, Co Meath and Sean Smith of St Killians Park in Mullagh, Co Cavan were charged with assaulting the 22-year-old, causing him harm.

The two men were granted bail and are due to appear again before the court next Tuesday.
