A sit-in being staged by former Vita Cortex workers in Cork has entered its 100th day.

A sit-in being staged by former Vita Cortex workers in Cork has entered its 100th day.

Thirty-two staff members are protesting at the manufacturing plant which closed late last year in a row over redundancy payments.

Yesterday, management and employees accepted an invitation from the LRC to engage in a mediation process.

It is the third time the LRC has intervened in the dispute since the sit-in last December.
