Garda clampdown on drink driving continues tonight

Gardaí will be out in force again tonight with checkpoints placed on various roads throughout the country.

The move is part of their efforts to clampdown on drink or drug driving and speeding this St Patrick's weekend.

Two people lost their lives in road crashes this Bank Holiday weekend, bringing the total number of road deaths so far this year to 34.
