Beaumont Hospital battles winter vomiting bug

Dublin's Beaumont Hospital is appealing to visitors to stay away, as staff continue to battle an outbreak of the winter vomiting bug.

Visitor restrictions have been in place since last week, when the situation deteriorated.

Administrators say visitors should only attend if it is absolutely necessary. Children are not being allowed in the hospital.

Most wards in the hospital are affected.
