Man killed in Cavan crash

A man in his early 20s has died in a road accident in Co Cavan.

The man died when the car he was driving from Killydoon to Gowna lost control and left the road at Drumcor at around 6.30am this morning.

A male passenger, in his mid 20s, is being treated in Cavan General Hospital for his injuries, which are not believed to be life-threatening.

The road remains closed as gardaí carry out a forensic examination of the scene.
