Human remains uncovered near River Finn

Skeletal remains have been unearthed by a digger driver excavating near the River Finn in Co Donegal.

The decomposed body was dug up at about 9am today at Islandmore, about three miles from Lifford, a Garda spokeswoman said.

The body remains at the scene and a post-mortem examination is to be carried out later to establish the identity.

It is not known whether the remains are of a man or woman.
