Three remain in custody after attempted burglary in Longford

Three men remain in garda custody this morning in connection with an attempted burglary at a business premises in Co Longford yesterday morning.

The owner of the business grabbed a gun and shot at the three men as they tried to break into his property at Kilmoyle.

One of the intruders was wounded, but his injuries were not life-threatening.

The three men - all in their 20s - were arrested and are being held at Longford and Roscommon garda stations under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act.
