China's Vice President arrives in Ireland
China's Vice President Xi Jinping has landed at Shannon airport.
Trade with China is already worth €8bn to Ireland, and it is hoped the visit might draw further investment to Ireland.
During his stay, Xi Jinping will take in a Riverdance performance in Dublin, a trip to the Cliffs of Moher and a stop at a dairy farm in Co Clare.
Later this evening, he will meet members of Shannon Development, before attending a dinner at Bunratty Castle.
Chief executive of Shannon Development Dr Vincent Cunnane said: "The trade between Ireland and China is increasing both ways. It's a case of presenting ourselves as an ideal entry point into the European market for Chinese goods and servcies."
