Rescuers believe body is that of missing trawler skipper

Searchers for two crewmen who drowned in the Tit Bonhomme tragedy three weeks ago have said they are satisfied that a body found in Glandore Harbour in Cork today is that of 52-year-old skipper, Michael Hayes.

Searchers for two crewmen who drowned in the Tit Bonhomme tragedy three weeks ago have said they are satisfied that a body found in Glandore Harbour in Cork today is that of 52-year-old skipper, Michael Hayes.

The body, spotted just before lunchtime today, has been taken to Cork University Hospital, where a post mortem is expected to confirm his identity.
