Irish Cancer Society helps 900 more people in 2011

More than 22,000 people affected by cancer were helped by the Irish Cancer Society last year, an increase of more than 900 inquiries from 2010.

New figures show the service is dealing with a growing number of queries relating to mortgage arrears, debt problems, medical cards and social welfare payments.
