Six men are in custody this morning following two separate drug seizures worth over €1.4m in Dublin yesterday.

Six men are in custody this morning following two separate drug seizures worth over €1.4m in Dublin yesterday.

Four men, one aged in his 20s, two in their 30s and one in his 40s were arrested after detectives raided a cannabis growing plant at an industrial unit near Ballyboughil in north county Dublin at around 7.30pm last night.

Fifteen hundred cannabis plants with a street value of €600,000, and freshly harvested herbal cannabis worth about €240,000 were discovered on the premises

A further two men were arrested after herbal cannabis, cocaine, heroin and ecstasy tablets worth €650,000 were discovered in an apartment in Inchicore.

A man in his 50s and another in his 30s, are being held at Kevin Street and Kilmainham garda stations in connection with that seizure.
