Abuse survivor to speak at Vatican summit

Abuse survivor Marie Collins is to speak at a Vatican summit in Rome today attended by a number of senior Cardinals and Bishops.

Pope Benedict XVI addressed conference participants yesterday calling for a "profound renewal" at every level of the Church to prevent abuse.

Some victims groups have dismissed the conference as propaganda.

Hwever, Marie Collins has said she hopes it will mark a point and give an indication of how the Church is going to act in the future.
