Groups launch guide for sufferers of mental health problems
People experiencing mental health problems are protected by equality legislation, but too many people do not realise this.
That is the message from the Equality Authority and See Change, the National Mental Health Stigma Reduction Partnership.
They are launching new guides today which outline how a person's rights are protected, and what employers need to do to protect these rights in the workplace.
The authors have said there is a need for guidelines, because one in four people will experience a mental health problem in their lifetime, and many of them will be in employment when it happens.
