Galway centre looks for back-pain study participants
The Centre for Pain Research at NUI in Galway is looking for people suffering from back pain, to take part in a new study.
People involved the Pain Disability Prevention Programme trial will work with a clinical psychologist, trained in pain rehabilitation.
The sessions focus on rehabilitation, cognitive therapy to identify negative thinking patterns and exercises to improve physical function.
The HSE-funded study will take place in Galway, Dublin, Donegal, Sligo, Mayo, Limerick and Cork.
