Bloody Sunday remembered on 40th anniversary

Families of the Bloody Sunday victims are today marking the 40th anniversary of the shootings in Derry.

A memorial service will take place in the Bogside area of the city this afternoon.

A small number of relatives will retrace the route of the 1972 Civil Rights March which was fired on by British troops, killing 14 people.

The anniversary comes almost two years after the Saville Inquiry found that the British army's actions were "unjustified and unjustifiable".
